Class this week is on a normal schedule Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Sat is the Arnis and Sai seminars–please sign up! I saw some great basics in class this week, one of the hardest skills to develop–keep up the hard work!
Please check out the post on our new “Absence from Training” policy. We sent out a letter to parents/students as well, so grab a copy of that in class.
- Jan 18th: SBN Cory Arnis Seminar/Sensei Doris Sai seminar
New cancellation at the end of the month–Sensei gave me the dates, but now they look weird, so let me double check them for y’all!
- Jan. 25th: no class.
- Jan. 29th (Wednesday): no 5pm class–but everyone is welcome to drop in at Fudo Yama in Stanwood for joint class at 5:30-6:30. Adults can stay for the 6:30-8pm class as well!!

Rule Reminder: The karate way to say “okay” is “hai” or “oss.” Please use it when responding to your instructor! “Yeah” or “okay” are not appropriate vocabulary for talking to black belts.
Weekly Challenge: Focus on form. Do your required form every day, plus one old form every day.
Weather Cancellation Policy Reminder: If school gets cancelled in the Stanwood-Camano school district due to weather, NWSMA classes will also be cancelled. Cancellations will be posted on our Facebook & our Twitter. Not all of our students live in Stanwood-Camano. Please don’t take risks to get to class if the weather is different where you are.
